Suzy's Bakery is a cottage food organization (CFO) based in Fair Oaks, California. A CFO basically means a home bakery. I am registered with Sacramento County (PR158299-A). One thing Suzy's Bakery strives for is to make as many things as possible from scratch. I love the challenge of figuring out which ingredients to use and the science behind baking from scratch. I also enjoy knowing that there are as few preservatives and artificial things in the baked goodies I make and eat.
Hi, my name is Suzy! I’m the owner and baker of Suzy's Bakery. I’ve been baking for more than 20 years and have always loved creating delicious goodies. After high school, I considered becoming a pastry chef, but I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force instead. After becoming a mom and leaving the military, I went into the mental health field. I’m now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker — woo hoo!
Over the years, my love for baking never faded. As my son grew, I began making his birthday cakes and treats for family and friends. I’ve always been told I should sell what I create, and now I’m finally in a place to give it a try!
